Southwestern’s Student Housing is partnering with Associated Student Government & Student Activities to offer a showing of the film SELMA in the Hales Center for Performing Arts free to all students, faculty, staff, and the local community. The film will be shown on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 8:00 pm. Seats will be first come first served. Selma is a 2014 film Written by Paul Webb and Directed by Ava DuVernay chronicling Martin Luther King Jr.’s march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965 in an effort to obtain equal voting rights. SWOCC is excited to present this film to close out its celebration of Black History Month and invites all who are interested to attend.
