Southwestern Oregon’s men won their opening basketball game at an NWAC Crossover Tournament over Green River 71-70. On Saturday, the Lakers fell to Edmonds 107-97. On Sunday, Walla Walla handed SWOCC an 86-85 loss. The Lakers (6-6) host Mt. Hood on Jan. 3, 6 p.m. Southwstern’s women won their first round game at the Shoreline Crossover Friday, 84-72 over the Shoreline All-Stars. On Saturday, SWOCC downed Highline 71-65. On Sunday, the Lakers lost to Columbia Basin 74-35. Southwestern (3-8) hosts Mt. Hood on January 3, 2 p.m.
