Great showing for the SWOCC Cross Country team this last Saturday at the NWAC Cross Country Preview Meet at Lewisville Park in Battleground WA. Jesus De Leon placed 10th in the men’s 8K with a time of 26:10 with teammate Brad Ferner running a 26:48 for 21st and David Flores running a 27:06 for 22nd. Colby Gillett placed 51st at 30:41 and Nathan Hoffman ran a 33:06 for 53rd. Gabriel Costillo was 54th at 33:16 and teammate Joseph Dawes placed 56th at 33:23 and Riley Greenfield ran a 37:09 for the five mile course. The Laker Men Placed 6th out of the 10 teams represented at the meet. On the Women’s side the Lakers were led by Alexis Crellin at 21:53 with teammate Kennedy Pendergrass placing 31st at 22:52. Stephanie Gouveia was 32nd at 23:33 with Amber Pell coming in at 24:40 foe3 38th place and Nikkol Ortiz placing 40th at 25:10 just finishing ahead of teammate Brittany Hanson who ran a 25:40 The women were 8th place overall. The Lakers will run at Willamette University this Saturday at the 41st Charles Bowles Invitational.
