Coquille Tribe release – North Bend, Ore. – The Mill Casino is joining with other members of the community in support of local federal employees affected by the government shutdown – beginning with a $2,500 donation to the South Coast Food Share. “From our waterfront location, we see members of the Coast Guard working hard every day to protect all of us,” said Mill General Manager Terri Porcaro. “These and the many other federal government employees who work on our behalf and are now missing paychecks deserve our support during this shutdown.” In addition to its initial donation, The Mill hosted a site for canned food donations to the South Coast Food Share last Saturday, Jan. 19. Items mostly donated were:  Canned meats and proteins, like jerky or canned tuna, and meals in a can with a pop top. The Mill’s Saw Blade Buffet will also participate by donating 25 percent of all proceeds from the Sunday Dinner Buffet on Jan. 27. All donations will be earmarked for local community members affected by the shutdown.
