Twin brothers, who grew up in Southern Oregon, were each sentenced to prison Wednesday, July 20, following their convictions on drug charges in U.S. District Court, Eugene. Thirty-year olds Nicholas Jacobson will serve 97 months and Matthew Jacobson to 78 months for delivering heroin. According to officials with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT), the two were arrested Oct. 9, 2014 during a raid of a residence in Shady Cove, north of Medford. Investigators seized nearly four pounds of Heroin, 17-firearms, body armor, night vision goggles, thousands of rounds of ammunition, eight vehicles, about $20,000 in cash and two illegal marijuana gardens. Following prison, the Jacobson’s were both sentenced to five-years of probation.
