Oregon’s softball team won its NCAA Eugene Regional Sunday night with a 9-0 (5) win over Wisconsin. The Ducks opened the Regional with a 13-0 (5) win over Illinois-Chicago on Friday, and then came-from-behind to force extra innings Saturday and beat Wisconsin 6-5 (8) setting up Sunday’s finale. The Ducks (50-6) will host a Super Regional this weekend with Kentucky on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Eugene. Oregon State was eliminated from the playoffs with two losses at Waco, Texas. The Beavers lost to James Madison on Friday 3-2, and then 2-1 to Kent State on Saturday. OSU ends the season at 28-27.
Pac-12 bb
Oregon’s baseball team won two-out-of-three at USC in Los Angeles this past weekend in Pac-12 play. The Ducks won Friday 6-2, lost Saturday 14-9, but won on Sunday 3-2. Oregon (11-16, 28-23) plays at UC Riverside Monday, noon, and then returns home Thursday through Saturday to host UCLA in Eugene. Oregon State swept visiting Washington State in Corvallis. The Beavers won Friday 4-3, Saturday 5-0, and Sunday 14-3. OSU (27-3, 45-4) hosts Abilene Christian Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Corvallis.
