Oregon’s football team opened their season with a 58-26 win at home over visiting UC Davis Saturday in Autzen Stadium at Eugene. The Ducks host Virginia this coming Saturday. Oregon’s volleyball team took three over the weekend. On Friday, the Ducks downed Murray State 3-0, followed by a 3-0 win that evening over San Diego State, and then on Saturday night made it a perfect set sweep with a 3-0 win over UC Davis. All of the matches took place at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene. Oregon is scheduled to play at Seattle U. on Tuesday, Sept. 6. The Duck women’s soccer team bettered visiting Boise State 2-1, Friday in Eugene. On Sunday, Oregon downed visiting North Texas 3-0. The Ducks (5-0-1) next travel to UC Irvine in Fullerton, CA Friday, Sept. 9.

Oregon State’s volleyball team got a split back in Lincoln, Nebraska this past weekend. The Beavers downed Syracuse 3-0, Friday, but fell 3-0 to Nebraska on Saturday. OSU is next scheduled to play South Dakota at Stockton, CA Friday, Sept. 9. The men’s soccer team beat visiting San Jose State Friday, 3-0 in Corvallis. The Beavers (2-0-1) are scheduled to host Ohio State, Monday, Sept. 5, noon. The women’s soccer team tied North Texas 0-0 Friday in Corvallis. On Sunday, OSU bettered visiting Boise St., 2-1. This Friday, Oregon State’s (2-1-2) women play Michigan State in East Lansing, on Friday, Sept. 9.
