The Oregon baseball team’s struggles continued Tuesday as the Ducks fell 6-4 to Portland in a nonleague game at PK Park. It was the fourth loss in a row for the UO baseball team, which is 4-10 over its last 14 games. After a scoreless first inning, the Pilots (6-24) scored in each of the next four frames. Oregon’s gloves let the team down in the fourth, when a poor relay from the outfield allowed a runner to score from first on a single in a hit-and-run situation. That made it 3-0, and Portland tacked on three more in the fifth — all unearned — with one run scoring on a throwing error and two more coming around on a mishandled groundball to shortstop. The Ducks face Seattle on Wednesday at Ron Tonkin Field in Hillsboro at 6 p.m.
