A 61-year old Florence male was sentenced to 44-years in prison by a Lane Co. Circuit Court judge Tuesday, Feb. 14 in Eugene for sexually abusing two teenage girls. The sentence by Judge Mustafa Kasubhai means that Randy Kent Clay will most likely spend the rest of his life behind bars. The judge described him as a sexual predator. A jury convicted Clay of two-counts of First-Degree Sexual Abuse, two-counts of Using a Child in a Display of Sexually Explicit Conduct and one-count of Third Degree Sexual Abuse. One of the girls was younger than 14 at the time of the crime and the other younger than 16.
