Sunset Bay State Park will host Art in the Park: Watercolor Paint Out, June 4, 2016 10:00am-12:00 pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm at Sunset Bay Picnic Area, near the volleyball courts, Come celebrate State Parks Day at Sunset Bay with free watercolor painting events. From 10:00 am to Noon, painters from Bay Area Artists Association will be leading an instructional session on watercolor painting at the Sunset Bay Gazebo. This “how-to” session is geared toward beginners (adults only, please). Registration is required, and space is limited, sign up soon! From 1:00pm-3:00pm, Watercolor painting stations will be set up around the southern end of Sunset Bay beach and day use area for anyone to drop by and paint. Local Plein air artists will be on site to show their work, as well as offer tips and feedback. Supplies will be provided for both sessions. This Art in the Park event is sponsored by a grant from OPRD Heritage Programs, and is supported by Coos Art Museum and Bay Area Artists Association.
