News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On October 18, 2014, at approximately 2036 hours, Coos County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a possible burglary in progress at 62661 Seven Devils Rd., Coos Bay, Coos County, OR. Deputies arrived on scene at approximately 2044 hours and arrested a male subject, later identified as Jon Paul Corby, who was in the process of carrying a milk crate full of household goods off the property. Jon claimed he had permission from the owners to be on the property and to take the items, but the owners said nobody had permission and they had never seen him before. Subsequently, Deputies arrested Jon Corby for Burglary I and Theft II, and transported him to the Coos County Jail without incident, where he was held on $120,000 bail.
