SEATTLE— The Coast Guard Cutter Osprey detained an individual with an outstanding warrant from the state of Oregon Tuesday, June 18. The individual’s record was discovered while conducting a recreational boating safety boarding in the vicinity of Everett, Washington. Coast Guard Sector Puget Sound enforcement staff coordinated with Washington State, Snohomish County, and Everett Police Department to take the individual into custody for extradition to Oregon. The Osprey’s law enforcement team transported the subject via the cutter’s small boat to a nearby dock to awaiting law enforcement authorities.
