As part of its multi-year Sustaining Oregon’s Arts program, the Oregon Arts Commission has awarded $237,500 in Capacity Building Grants to 17 Oregon arts groups, including the Coos Art Museum in Coos Bay. The grants, which range from $3,100 for upgrading Triangle Productions’ office equipment to $24,500 for a capital campaign position at the Salem Arts Association, fund specific projects designed to strengthen the organizations and help them better achieve their missions. Coos Art Museum, Coos Bay: $10,000 – To support the purchase of new workstations and software, replacing decades-old donated computers with a new, compatible system. The upgrade will allow the museum to increase efficiency and expand programs and services to better meet community needs.
