West Fork Millicoma Rd., CCSO release – On June 13th at about 2:25m pm, The Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious subject attempting to enter residences near the church on W. Fork Millicoma Road in the Allegany area of Coos County. This rural neighborhood lies 14 miles up Coos River from Eastside. When the sheriff’s deputies arrived they found and spoke to an individual matching the description given by the citizen who reported the suspicious conditions. The male refused to identify himself, became uncooperative and attempted to leave. However, he was detained while the deputies contacted the citizen and were given a copy of the surveillance video from the camera system they had at the residence. As a result of the investigation the still unidentified male, was transported to Coos County Jail where he was lodged and charged with Criminal Trespass in the First Degree. The male was later identified as 42-year old Shane Cole Briner, a transient subject from Ohio after his fingerprints were compared to the national database.
