CCSO release – On January 18, 2020, at about 11:01 pm, Coos County Dispatched received a report of an intoxicated male, later identified as 28 year old Nickolas Jack Falkosk Garcia, entering the Up The Creek Tavern in Lakeside and demanding to be served alcohol. Garcia was refused service due to already being very intoxicated. He became angry and caused a disturbance inside the Tavern. Garcia then walked out of the Tavern to a white Toyota pickup which was parked in front of the bar. Garcia opened the driver door of the white truck hitting another parked vehicle, causing damage. After Garcia damaged the parked vehicle, Garcia got into the driver seat of the white Toyota, reversed sharply and drove away North on S. 8th Street. The Caller also reported there was a male in the back of the truck when Garcia sped away from the Tavern. At about 11:09 pm, Coos County Dispatch began receiving calls of a male yelling, “I’m going to kill you”, near Stanley Lane. Dispatch then received another call of a white truck which had driven through a yard and caused damage, The Caller stated the Toyota was now parked between 405 and 415 Stanley lane. Upon the Deputies arrival, along with the Oregon State Police, the suspect vehicle and Garcia were located at 408 Stanley Lane in Lakeside. Upon concluding the investigation, Garcia was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and transported to the North Bend Police Department. At the North Bend Police Department, Garcia provided a sample of his breath with a Blood Alcohol Content of .16% BAC. Due to Garcia being unable to contact a sober adult to be released to, he was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was issued citations for DUII, Illegal Alteration or Display of Plates and Driving Uninsured.
