Hwy. 101 & Flanagan, CCSO release – On March 11, 2019, at about 11:56 PM, a Deputy was stopped at the stop light at Highway 101 and Flanagan Rd. A 1995 Chevrolet truck was in the left turn lane to go onto Flanagan Rd. As the truck turned left, the driver accelerated quickly and began spinning its tires and fishtailing through the intersection. The Deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle near the intersection of Coal Bank Lane and Harriet Rd. The driver was identified as 30 year old Timothy Ellis of Coos Bay. As the Deputy spoke with Timothy, he noted his eyes were bloodshot, Timothy was slurring his words and there was a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. Timothy performed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and at the conclusion of the tests, arrested for DUII. Timothy was taken to the Coos County Jail, where he submitted a breath test. Timothy had a blood alcohol content of .14%. Timothy was booked into the Coos County Jail.
