Hwy. 101, CCSO report – On April 21st, 2018 at 1:53pm, a deputy with the Coos County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a 2004 Dodge pickup on Highway 101 and Date Street, Coos Bay, Coos County, Oregon. During the traffic stop, the Deputy learned the operator, 40-year old Steven M. Wilson, Coos Bay, was Driving While suspended at the Misdemeanor level. Steven M. Wilson had a passenger with him that was not licensed. The vehicle was secured at the scene. Steven M. Wilson was issued a criminal citation for Driving While Suspended and Driving Uninsured. Steven M. Wilson was advised not to drive multiple times prior to the Deputy ending the traffic stop. Approximately five minutes after the Deputy had cleared the traffic stop; Steven M. Wilson was spotted driving again. Due to the Deputy having to go to an emergent call, it was relayed to the North Bend Police Department that Steven M. Wilson was traveling North bound on highway from Coos Bay. Steven M. Wilson was located by North Bend Police Department Officers and advised not to drive again. Steven M. Wilson is being referred to the District Attorney’s Office for a second Driving While Suspended charge.
