CCSO release – On August 26, 2019 at 1115 hours, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office and Coquille Fire responded to a call of single vehicle accident on East Beaver Hill Road. The initial call indicated the car was possibly on fire. The witness and 911 caller indicated the car, a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro rolled several times while traveling up hill. Upon investigation, it was determined the sole occupant of the vehicle was found to be deceased. The operator was identified as John Tod Elbert 63 years of age of Coquille, Oregon.
