An inmate who walked away August 9, 2014, from Mill Creek Correctional Facility in Salem is now in custody in the Marion County Correctional Facility. Law enforcement officials arrested Jerry Teixeira and his accomplice Lacy Evans on Tuesday evening at approximately 10:38 p.m. in Stayton. Teixeira entered DOC custody on October 1, 2013, on two counts of burglary in the second degree, one count of possession of methamphetamine, one count of delivering methamphetamine, and one count of felon in possession of a firearm out of Marion County. His earliest release date is September 5, 2015.
