A 3.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded near Grand Ronde, Oregon Friday, Dec. 19. According to the U.S. geological Survey, the quake occurred at 7:06 p.m., and was 25-miles west of Salem. Four quakes also shook the northern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Saturday, Dec. 20. The largest was a 5.1-magnitude at 5:57 p.m., 122-miles southwest of Bella Bella, Canada. A 4.3-magnitude followed in the same area on Sunday, 10:51 p.m., and a 2.9-magnitude was also recorded Sunday, 10:17 p.m., 91-miles west of Newport.
