On January 2, 2018, at approximately 9:15 PM, the Oregon State Police responded with the Sandy Police Department to a report of a deceased male on the shoulder of Highway 26 in Clackamas County. When Troopers and officers arrived on scene, they located 61 year old Jay BRADSHAW, from Sandy, on the shoulder of the westbound lane of Highway 26. The preliminary investigation has determined that BRADSHAW was walking along the highway, was struck by a passing motor vehicle, and died as a result of the injuries he sustained. The Oregon State Police will be the lead agency for the investigation. At this time we have no vehicle description or direction of travel. The Oregon State Police was assisted by Sandy Police Department, Sandy Fire Department, Clackamas County District Attorney’s office and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
