Hillcrest Lane, CCSO release – On May 25, 2018, about 7:06 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 93000 block of Hillcrest Lane in North Bend regarding a trespass. The caller stated her son; Samuel Bowling was back on her property and refusing to leave. Deputies had been out to the property twice throughout the day for the same issue, but each time Samuel had left the property prior to the deputies arrival as Samuel had several warrants out for his arrest. Upon their arrival this time, the deputies observed Samuel in the backyard. Samuel simultaneously observed the deputies and fled quickly into the brush behind the house. Deputies requested K-9 Odin respond to assist in locating Samuel. K-9 Odin arrived on scene and located Samuel hiding approximately 50 yards away in the brush behind the house. Samuel Bowling was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Bowling was taken to the Coos County Jail on the following warrants: Fail to Appear on Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (2 counts); Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine; Criminal Trespass I; Theft III. Mr. Bowling is being held on $75,000.00 bail. This marked the 67th capture for K-9 Odin in his career with the Coos County Sheriff’s Office.
