News release from the Lincoln Co. Sheriff’s Office. On September 18, 2014 Lincoln County Sheriff deputies responded to a report of a stabbing that occurred in the city of Siletz, Oregon the previous night. The investigation revealed the adult female victim was stabbed one time by her former boyfriend, Trever Scott Cole, 30 years old, from Siletz. She also reported Cole refused to let her leave his Siletz home and for a time held her at knife point. The victim was able to successfully escape from Cole’s residence after he fell asleep the morning of September 18th. The victim’s injuries are not considered life threatening and she was later treated and released at Samaritan Pacific Communities hospital in Newport. A search warrant was prepared for Cole’s residence and executed later that night with the assistance of the Oregon State Police SWAT team. Cole was not located during the search warrant. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Trever Cole is asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office at (541) 265-4231. Cole should not be approached as he may be armed and dangerous.
