Join members of the North Bend Prospectors for an introduction to this fun and lucrative hobby – Join members of the North Bend Prospectors at the Coos Bay Public Library on Saturday, November 18th at 1:00 p.m. to learn how to get started in the gold prospecting hobby. The event will include a discussion of methods, equipment, and the best spots to find gold legally in the area, as well as an equipment demonstration and an opportunity to ask questions of the prospectors. Can’t get the necessary equipment? No problem! Attendees will also be introduced to the library’s new gold panning kit, soon to be available to check out through the Library of Things! This kit includes just about everything you’ll need to get started and find out if gold panning is right for you—just grab your library card and a spare bucket.
