The 2018 Les Schwab Tires South Coast Holiday Basketball Tournament gets underway Thursday, Dec. 13, with eight boy’s teams and eight girl’s teams. Three Top 10 teams are in the boy’s field, No. 1 Marshfield, No. 7 Sisters & No. 9 Philomath. Three Top 10 girls’ teams are also in the field with No. 1 MHS, No. 6 Philomath & No. 8 Madras. First round games have Philomath girls vs. Madras at 4 p.m., at MHS, at 5:30 p.m., Philomath’s boys play Sutherlin at MHS. First round games are also scheduled at SWOCC, 5:30 p.m., Crook Co. vs. La Salle, and at 8 p.m., Sisters girls vs. Sutherlin. At NBHS, 6:30 p.m., Junction City boys vs. Sisters, and at 8 p.m., Astoria girls vs. Junction City. Host Marshfield has the nightcap games at the Pirate Palace in Coos Bay. The Lady Pirates vs. No. Valley at 7 p.m., and Marshfield’s boys vs. No. Valley at 8:30 p.m. All of Day 2 & Day 3 games will be played at MHS.
