South Coast Holiday Basketball Tournament
Sixteen high school basketball teams are in the Bay Area to compete in the 11th Annual Les Schwab Tires South Coast Holiday Basketball Tournament. In addition to the host teams from Marshfield, North Bend’s boys, Coquille’s teams and Myrtle Point’s girls add to the local flavor. Games begin today at noon with North Eugene and Coquille girls in the Harding Gym, while North Bend’s boys play Lebanon at the same time in the main gym. At 1:45 p.m., McNary and North Eugene’s boys play in the Harding, while Crescent Valley and Roosevelt play in the main gym. The rest of the day’s games will all be played in the main gym. At 3:30 p.m., Junction City’s girls and Myrtle point play, followed by Molalla and Coquille’s boys at 5:15 p.m., Marshfield’s girls and North Salem at 7 p.m., and the final game will be Marshfield’s boys and Junction City at 8:45 p.m. Games on Friday will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the main gym. Finals will take place on Saturday with the girl’s championship game at 4 p.m., followed by the boy’s game at 5:45 p.m.
