Mark your calendar for a series of Lab Band workshops for various instruments scheduled with the Oregon Coast Lab Band. These workshops hosted by lab band are a great way for young musicians to get hands on work with part reading, playing in a group setting, and solos. The workshops will be led by program music director Gary LeBrun. Evolution is the youngest pro band on the regional music festival circuit. The schedule is as follows:
Trumpets on Monday May 11th 6:30 to 7:30pm; Tenor Sax and Clarinet on Monday May 18th 6:30 to 7:30pm; Trombone on Monday May 25th from 6:30 to 7:30pm; Alto Sax on Monday June 1st from 6:30 – 7:30pm; Bass on Monday June 8th from 6:30 – 7:30pm; Drums on Monday June 15th from 6:30 to 7:30pm; Piano on Monday June 22nd from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. These workshops are free and have limited seating. Please bring your instrument and be prepared for a great time playing with some great musicians.
