Coos Art Museum’s next CAM Community Day is Saturday, August 27 and yes that is Blackberry Festival weekend. The theme of this event is: A Living Sculpture Garden, with special guest Natalie Fletcher. Natalie is an Oregon Artist who attained national recognition as the 2014 winner of Skin Wars. Natalie will be here to assist in setting up the Living Sculpture Garden and will give a painting demonstration on Saturday. Join us for some fun and creative art. Vote for your favorite sculpture. Museum doors will open at 10 am and admission is FREE for this event. While at Coos Art Museum Saturday, add a square to our “Community Mosaic” and take a mini Zentangle Class in the downstairs Perkins Gallery with Rosy Hill. A special “I love Zentangle” charm will also be available for purchase for $1.50 for patrons who participate in the Zentangle class. In celebration of Blackberry Festival, Coos Art Museum will also be open Sunday, August 28 from 10 am to 4 pm. This event is called: Sunday at CAM and is part of our CAM Community Days program. Special activities will include an interactive canvas and the opportunity to add your square to our “Community Mosaic.” Sunday also features FREE admission. Come anytime and enjoy the fun. All ages welcome. This event is open to the public. No special skills needed and all materials are provided.
