North Bend handed defending Far West League softball champion Douglas its first league loss 7-6 Thursday, while Marshfield beat Brookings-Harbor 14-2 (5) at Coos Bay. South Umpqua picked up a win on Tuesday against Siuslaw 19-1 at Tri City. Doubleheaders are scheduled for today, 3 & 5 p.m. South Umpqua (5-2, 13-2) goes to Siuslaw (1-6, 4-12) in Florence, North Bend (5-2, 11-5) is home to Douglas (5-1, 6-7) and Marshfield (4-3, 10-6) travels to Brookings-Harbor (0-6, 4-9).

Unbeaten North Bend beat visiting Douglas 6-5 in a Far West League baseball game at Clyde Allen Field Thursday. Brookings-Harbor beat visiting Marshfield 7-5. South Umpqua and Siuslaw were postponed to Monday. Today, North Bend (7-0, 8-6) travels to Douglas (4-3, 7-9), Brookings-Harbor (2-5, 5-10) at Marshfield (3-4, 4-8-1) and Siuslaw (1-5, 1-2) plays Douglas (4-3, 7-9) at Riddle in doubleheaders at 3 & 5 p.m.
