According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Jan. 29, 3:53 p.m., 1800 block Monroe Ave., “bus driver received threats from parent / officer respond and stood by while employees returned and escorted to their vehicles to leave.”
VRO
According to an entry on the NBPD log for Jan. 29, 4:29 p.m., 2000 block 11th Ct., “RP reported female outside violating restraining order. Officers located the female leaving the area on foot,” 37-year old Katrina Handsaker-Haney, North Bend, charged with VRO and referred for PCS. Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
Shoplifter
According to an entry on the NBPD log for Jan. 29, 4:30 p.m., 1700 block Virginia Ave., “Safeway reported shoplifter detained and cooperative. Officer respond / located merchandise from Big Lots in suspects possession,” 54-year old Deborah Benson, Coos Bay, charged with Theft II from Safeway, value $682.51, additional charge of Theft III from Big Lots, value $31.87. Transported to CCJ.
