North Coos
North Coos Waterfront, the Bay Area’s American Legion baseball team, completed the regular season with a couple of home doubleheaders Saturday and Sunday. The Waterfront swept the Grants Pass Diggers 18-0 & 14-5 on Saturday at Clyde Allen Field in North Bend. On Sunday, North Coos did the same to North Medford 10-9 & 10-4. The Waterfront finishes third in the ‘A’ Area 4 North Standings with a 7-9 record, 18-14 overall. Roseburg Pepsi took first (15-1, 21-8) and Roseburg Umpqua Lions were second (11-5, 14-18). Both Pepsi and the Lions open the ‘A’ State Tournament at Anhorn Field in Central Pt. on Wednesday.
