On Sunday, November 16, 2014, Officers from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office, Klamath Falls Police Department, and the Oregon State Police, pursued a Robbery suspect who fled with cash stolen from Frontier Market, located at the corner of Shasta Way and Summers Lane in Klamath Falls. Officers pursued the Robbery suspect and gunfire was exchanged. The suspect, Lenny Miles (DOB 1-8-77), was pronounced deceased at Sky Lakes Medical Center at 9:41 p.m. No officers were injured from the gunfire. Miles had warrants out for his arrest that involved four separate cases in Klamath County including: Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Escape in the Third Degree, Assault in the Fourth Degree, Strangulation, Assault in the Fourth Degree, and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
