Zak Irwin scored 19 points and Caris LeVert added 18 to lead No. 19 Michigan to a 70-63 win over Oregon on Monday night. The Wolverines (4-0) used an 8-0 run midway through the second half to snap a tie game and give them just the separation they needed to advance to the Legends Classic final at the Barclays Center. The Wolverines never trailed and made 23 of 29 free throws to hold off the Ducks. LeVert was key down the stretch, twisting his way down the lane for tough baskets and getting a rise out of the hundreds of fans in maize and blue who made the trip. Joseph Young had 20 points for the Ducks (3-1). Ducks forward Dwayne Benjamin had eight points and 11 rebounds before leaving late in the game with an apparent left ankle injury. Oregon plays VCU Tuesday night in the Legends Classic consolation game at 4:30 p.m. (PT) on ESPNU.

Victor Robbins scored a career-high 16 points but a late rally fell short as Oregon State lost to Oklahoma State, 66-53, on Monday night in the semifinal round of the MGM Grand Main Event. Oregon State (3-1) kept it close for the majority of the game, and with just 10 minutes to play in the second half, they embarked on an 8-0 run that tied it up at 44. Oklahoma State (5-0) would answer in a big way, taking advantage of an 11-1 run that gave the Cowboys a 10-point lead at 55-45 with five minutes remaining, which proved insurmountable for the Beavers. Up next, the Beavers will face Auburn for the first time in history, when they meet in the MGM Grand Main Event consolation game on Wednesday at 6 p.m. It will be televised on ESPN3.
