NEWPORT, Ore. – The Oregon Recreational Trails Advisory Council (ORTAC) will meet 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Feb. 21 at Beverly Beach State Park in the Meeting Hall Yurt, 198 NE 123rd St., Newport. The meeting is open to the public. The agenda includes updates about the Oregon Coast Trail action plan and other program updates. View the agenda online. ORTAC was established by the Legislature in 1971 to advise Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) and its partners in the development and promotion of high quality non-motorized trail systems throughout Oregon. The council is made up of seven volunteer members representing the five congressional districts and two coastal representatives. Members are appointed by the Oregon State Parks and Recreation Commission. The council holds quarterly meetings in different locations across the state.
