The Oregon State Marine Board will hold their quarterly Board meeting on April 20, at the Marine Board Office located at 435 Commercial St. NE, in Salem. The meeting will begin at 9 am. The Board will consider the following agenda items: * Rule adoption for Boat Operations in Clatsop County -Removing the speed restrictions from the area north of the Hampton Mill to the confluence of the Columbia River and amend the 5 mph designation language; * Consideration of Rulemaking –Scenic Waterways Restrictions for the Deschutes River (OAR 250-030-0110); * Consideration of a Petition for Rulemaking -Statewide Rule (OAR 250-010-0053) Safety Inspections -Amends rule to allow law enforcement, in specified circumstances, to conduct safety inspections and address unmuffled engines on boats; * Consideration of Petition for Rulemaking for Boat Operations in Jackson County (OAR 250-020-0151) –prohibits any watercraft propelled by a jet pump or air propeller drive on the Rogue River from Table Rock Road Bridge (RM 131.3) upstream to the barrier dam at Cole Rivers Fish Hatchery (RM 155.7) except for emergencies, law enforcement and emergency training by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department; * Boating Facility Grants for Oregon Youth Conservation Corps.
