Some will be fighting what the recent Winter Storm left across the Southern portion of Oregon this week, but the high school basketball teams that have qualified for the OSAA 3A Basketball Tournament are expected to arrive in the Bay Area by tomorrow Wednesday, Feb. 27. A three-point shooting contest is held at North Bend High School, while the North Bend Volunteer Firefighters provide the players with a BBQ. The 3A Tournament Committee also hosts the visiting coaches to a Seafood Dinner in the NBHS Hall of Champions to kickoff their official welcome. Games begin Thursday afternoon with the boy’s quarter-finals at NBHS and the girl’s at MHS. Session or tournament passes that cover all three days and both sites are available.
