Despite losing their first game of the prep basketball season, Marshfield’s boys are No. 2 in this week’s OSAA/Coach’s 4A Basketball Poll. The Pirates (4-1) were ranked No. 1 last week, but lost to the 5A’s No. 9 team La Salle Prep. Banks (6-1) is ranked No. 1 in the 4A Poll this week. In the girl’s 4A Poll, Marshfield (6-0) retains its No. 1 ranking after winning the South Coast Holiday Baketball Tournament. Banks (5-2) is ranked No. 2. Marshfield’s opponent Jan. 2, No Marion (4-2), is ranked No. 3.
