Marshfield was first and North Bend tenth at the OSAA 4A Special District 3 Wrestling Championships at Hidden Valley High School south of Grants Pass Saturday. The Pirates compiled 305.5 points to place first, while Mazama scored 245.0. North Bend had 66.0 points. Marshfield crowned champions at 113 Kody Koumentis; 138 AJ Lira; 145 Willie Jantzer; 152 Garrett Lefebvre; and, 170 Travis Wittlake Jr. Frankie Harlow (120) and Tyler Post (220) were second. Placing third were: Will Forbes (160), Aiden Adams (182), Alvaro Ruiz (220), Phillip Hernandez (285). Fourth: Peyton Forbes (132). North Bend was led by Coltyn Ringen (132) first place finish. Also for the Bulldogs, Grady Hampel (182) placed second. The OSAA State Championships are Feb. 16 & 17 at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium in Portland.
