North Bend’s boys and Hidden Valley’s girls won the team titles at the 19th Annual Prefontaine Rotary Track Meet in Coos Bay Saturday.  Thirty-three teams and more than 900 athletes competed in the one-day event.  Marshfield’s girls were second to the Mustangs, and North Bend came in fifth.  Marshfield’s boys were fifth.  The Bulldogs Jonathan Chilcote was named the Outstanding Runner after taking both the 100 (11.15) & 200 (22.94)  Teammate Ty Hampton was named the Outstanding Thrower as he reset the meet record in the Javelin (216-0), and placed second in the Discus (149-04).  The Outstanding Jumper was Garrett Hagerty of Hidden Valley who set a new meet record in the High Jump (6-05).  North Bend’s Chelsea Howard was the Outstanding Jumper with a new meet record in the Triple Jump (37-11).  The Outstanding Thrower Halle Hargett of Newport sixth in the Shot Put (32-01), first in the Discus (120-07), and second in the Javelin (104-01).  The Outstanding Runner was Hidden Valley’s Nyah Kendall who won the 100 (12.85), 200 (26.38) and anchored the winning 4X100 relay team (49.73).  North Bend’s Brooklyn Garrigus won the 300LH (49.18).  North Bend’s boys short relay team of Divenson Willis, Jake Posey, Martin Godinez & Chilcote won in 44.22.  Marshfield’s Khaley Aguilar won the Pole Vault (11-06).  The Pirates Chase Howerton was second in the Pole Vault (13-06).  Marshfield has a District 4 JV meet at Marist Catholic in Eugene Wednesday, and then competes in the Bulldog Triplex on Friday, while others will go to the Summit Invitational in Bend on Saturday.  North Bend has a dual meet at Thurston on Tuesday, and the Bulldog Triplex Friday.
