Marshfield finished in a three-way tie for second place in the 2018 4A SkyEm League volleyball race following Tuesday’s final regular season matches. The Lady Pirates (6-4, 17-6) won at Elmira 3-0, while Junction City (6-4, 15-8) downed visiting Siuslaw 3-0, and Marist Catholic (6-4, 9-10) lost at first place Cottage Grove (9-1, 16-4) 3-1. The OSAA Power Ranking freeze on Thursday, Oct. 18, and then the playoffs will be determined. North Bend lost at home to Thurston 3-0 in 5A Midwestern League play Tuesday night. The Bulldogs (0-15, 2-16) ends the regular season at Crater in Central Point Thursday.
