The southern end of two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast was rocked early Friday morning, March 23, by three significant earthquakes.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the largest was a 4.7-magnitude quake, while the second was measured at 3.0.  Both were west of Petroilia, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.  The third quake was a 4.6-magnitude west of Humboldt Hill, CA.
