A 3.0-magnitude earthquake shook the southern end of two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast early Sunday morning, Nov. 18.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino.  Also on Sunday, a 2.8-magnitude quake shook the same area in Northern California, and a 4.1-magnitude quake was recorded in northern Washington State northeast of Quinault Census Designated Place.
