The City of Coos Bay has contracted with Benny Hempstead to perform the repair of the storm drain line located near the intersection of North 3rd Street and Commercial Avenue. For safety reasons, this work will require a full road closure on North 3rd Street between Commercial Avenue and Central Avenue. The closure will begin today September 10th and extend through Thursday, September 12th with the street remaining closed overnight due to safety concerns. There will be no on street parking in this portion of North 3rd Street while this replacement is underway. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to please exercise caution within the construction zone and detour area.
