On November 6th, 2019 Roseburg Police Department Detectives assisted by K9 teams from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue searched the hillside between Stewart Parkway and Garden Valley. During the search, the body of Matthew Shelton was located in a heavily wooded portion of the hillside. No foul play is suspected, and the incident is being investigated as a probable suicide. Next of kin have been notified.
