Coos Co. District Attorney R. Paul Frasier has issued a warning about “a scam being perpetrated on social media.” Frasier goes on to state that “at least one document has surfaced attempting to depict a court document where a person is being identified as a confidential informant for the police in Coos County and that I prepared and signed the document.” He goes on to state that the “document clearly is a forgery.” The document identifies a Detective Ron Morris for Coos County. There is no Detective Ron Morris. Frasier adds that “anyone who sees this document will understand it is a forgery and it should be ignored.” The Coos County Sheriff’s Office has been asked to investigate the matter.
