The Coos Bay/North Bend Waterboard has been given permission to burn several slash piles within the watershed on December 27th. The Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) has limited burning opportunities to days with a predicted North wind. Any additional burning by the CB/NB Waterboard will be completed on days that meet that criteria. Coos Bay residents can expect to see smoke South of Ocean Blvd. from these burning slash piles. Any questions or concerns can be addressed to the Coos Bay Fire Department, Coos Forest Protective Association or the Coos Bay/North Bend Waterboard.
