SWOCC release – Southwestern Oregon Community College’s Small Business Development Center (Southwestern SBDC) is offering a three session training series that focuses on using social media to build business opportunities.  Are you using the right social media marketing tools to promote your business?  Do you know what is being said about your business online?  Are you spending too much time or money on social media outreach to potential customers?  Learn how to use social media effectively. This 3 month series will start on April 19th, each class will meet 1 time each month, on the third Thursday of each month. Class will be from 5:30pm-8:30pm. The series will kick off on Thursday evening, April 19th with SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING.  70% of the U.S. population has at least one social networking profile.  Are you using these powerful marketing tools to grow your business? On Thursday evening, May 17th join us to learn more about managing your business ONLINE REPUTATION.  Do you know what’s being said about your business online?  Learn how to repair damage from inaccurate reviews. Finally, on Thursday evening, June 21st we’ll wrap up with MARKETING WITH FACEBOOK. Learn how to use this powerful business marketing tool without wasting time and money. The presenter for the series is Misty Lambrecht.  Misty Lambrecht is a Google certified trainer and has taught Google, WordPress and Social Media classes at Oregon Coast Community College and Clackamas Community College’s Business Development Center. She has also been involved in helping small businesses with social media including Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Pinterest.  In addition to her skills as a technology trainer, Misty is a graduate of the Oregon Coast Community College’s (SBM) Small Business Management program. Preregistration at www.bizcenter.org  is required to insure seating availability and materials.  The cost of this 3 month series is $185.00. This 3 month series is also part of the Thursday SBM program, which is a 9 month program for $500.00. Both programs, and all information is available online.
