City of Coos Bay release. The City of Coos Bay authorized Johnson Rock Products to perform an emergency repair on a portion of the sanitary sewer line located along Johnson Avenue between South 7th Street and South 8th Street. Emergency work will begin Wednesday, April 18, 2018. For safety, reasons, this work will require intermediate closure of this portion of Johnson Avenue between April 18-20, 2018. Traffic will be detoured around the work zone between the hours of 7am and 6pm. See exhibit below for detour route. There will be no on street parking in this portion of Johnson Avenue while the repair is underway. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to exercise caution within the construction zone and detour area. The Contractor will work with the affected home owners as needed.
