EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon volleyball fans can get an early look at the 2019 squad next Saturday, Aug. 24, during the Ducks’ annual Green-Yellow scrimmage at Matthew Knight Arena. The intrasquad scrimmage will begin at 7 p.m. and is open and free to fans.  The Ducks will open the 2019 season with a No. 11 national ranking and were picked to finish third in the Pac-12 while receiving one first-place vote. Oregon will have one more week of practice following the Green-Yellow scrimmage before it kicks off the season with the Oregon Classic at MKA on Aug. 30-31 against UC Irvine and Boston College. The Ducks return a trio of all-Americans from last season’s NCAA Elite Eight squad in middle blocker Ronika Stone, right-side hitter Willow Johnson and outside hitter Brooke Nuneviller, as well as senior outside hitter Taylor Borup. Oregon also has a talented trio of redshirt freshmen – setter Kylie Robinson and middle blockers Karson Bacon and Abby Hansen – to go along with a seven-player true freshman class that was ranked No. 7 in the nation.
