Was it a wolf, wolves, or dogs that killed 23 sheep in Curry County recently?  A USDA Wildlife Services Specialists investigated the attack and found that some of the sheep were partially eaten.  However, there was not enough evidence to distinguish between a domestic dog and a wolf.  The Wolf population in Oregon has been on the increase since they were declared an Endangered Species in 1975.  Wildlife officials are reportedly interested in lifting some of the protections for the Gray Wolf in Oregon.
